Dan Andrews has over twenty-seven (27) years of combined law enforcement experience. Twenty-three (23) years with the Texas Department of Public Safety. Dan has extensive experience in Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.  He was responsible for weighing and checking commercial vehicles operating over the public highways of the State of Texas. Primary responsibilities were  enforcing  compliance with the statutory provisions of the law regulating weight, motor carrier safety, registration, transportation of persons, hazardous material and other property. In 2005, Dan competed in the State of Texas Truck Challenge competition. After advancing from the regional competition Dan was one of the top eighteen inspectors  in the State of Texas that participated in the Challenge competition in College Station, TX.Prior to his law enforcement career, Dan was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He drove over the road for Coca Cola and Texas New Mexico & Oklahoma Bus Company. In addition to that, Dan operated heavy equipment and road construction with Lubbock Asphalt.
